On another edition of My Music, Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodríguez tells his extraordinary story of crossing the border from Mexico to the United States to find Quincy Jones.

The moment Rodríguez was detained by the Mexican police, he expected to be deported home. Instead, in a stunning turn of events, the pianist found himself on a taxi to the U.S. border, and then, onstage performing in front of thousands of people.
