'The Black Monk' is a fiction film inspired by the Anton Chekhov short story. A Newark documentary filmmaker, struggling with sanity, encounters a legendary monk and uncovers the meaning of life and a lost love.
WBGO's Ang Santos sat down with Emmy-nominated Newark based filmmakers Marylou and Jerome Bongiorno, and Dr. Anthony Tobia, who uses the film to teach psychosis to medical students at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
