'The Black Monk' is a fiction film inspired by the Anton Chekhov short story. A Newark documentary filmmaker, struggling with sanity, encounters a legendary monk and uncovers the meaning of life and a lost love.

WBGO's Ang Santos sat down with Emmy-nominated Newark based filmmakers Marylou and Jerome Bongiorno, and Dr. Anthony Tobia, who uses the film to teach psychosis to medical students at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.  They are presenting a special two day interactive screening of the film on June 7th and 8th at Montclair Cinema505 in New Jersey.  For more info on 'The Black Monk' click here.
