Johnny Mercer Centennial

November 18th is the centennial of the great lyricist, composer and singer, Johnny Mercer, and Michael Bourne will celebrate on Singers Unlimited this Sunday, November 15th. Mercer wrote lyrics with a who’s who of composers, including Harold Arlen, Harry Warren, Hoagy Carmichael, Duke Ellington, Henry Mancini, Richard Whiting, and more. Daryl Sherman will perform a tribute in New York and in Mercer’s hometown, Savannah, GA, to celebrate this momentous occasion. She will be Michael’s guest at noon on the 15th.
