Born 1976 in Houston, Texas, multiple GRAMMY nominee Eric Harland is the most in–demand drummer of his jazz generation. He’s appeared on close to 200 recordings and has worked on stage and in session with masters such as Betty Carter, Joe Henderson, McCoy Tyner, and Wayne Shorter as well as newer stars like Esperanza Spalding, Chris Potter, and Julian Lage. He has twice been voted the top “Rising Star” on drums in the 2008 and 2009 DownBeat Critics Polls. “The deepest secret is that life is not a process of discovery, but a process of creation.” (EH) A true “super–group” in a one–night stand not to be missed! Eric Harland joins forces with the brilliant bassist Michael League, a two–time GRAMMY Award winner for his work with Snarky Puppy, the band he founded in 2004; and the inventive keyboardist Taylor Eigsti, a longtime GRAMMY-nominated associate of Harland’s who splits his time working with mainstream artists such as Sting and Chris Botti, to being an integral part of bands led by a who’s who of jazz, including Chris Potter, Gretchen Parlato, and many more.
